“An unconditional and special kind of love”
While a woman needs time, dedication and commitment to invest in her career, the effort to raise a family also brings along new challenges. Before the pandemic, working mothers had to balance a double shift system, where they had to go to work and then spare some time to take care of their children at home. The pandemic, however, has brought about some changes such as physical distance, isolation, working from home and an interruption of formal education, which have, in turn, caused an environment where mothers need to look after their children while working at the same time. These changes have impacted the normal flow of daily life, thus, adding new physical and emotional challenges to women’s responsibilities at home.
How does it feel to be a mother on Mother’s Day that is celebrated at a time when life is so uncertain and irregular?
Once the remote working model entered our lives and schools got closed, the way we live and work in the same house has completely changed. Therefore, working mothers have not only been obliged to adjust themselves to job-related changes caused by the pandemic but they also have had to support their children in their online education process and household chores as well. Every day, mothers all over the world face with this not-so-easy balance between work and home. While this process creates an environment for mothers to spend more time with their children, it can sometimes be challenging for them as well.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers across the world who, under any circumstances, make a great effort both at home and in the office!
We increase our love by sharing loving messages sent by mothers, daughters and sons, working in our 63 offices across 24 countries…
