The Journey to Protect the Seas Continued Uninterrupted Throughout the 2025 Season.
Supported by Arkas Holding’s vision to protect the environment and marine ecosystem, Arkas TURMEPA II continued its operations uninterrupted throughout the 2025 season. As in previous years, the vessel operated in the bays of Cesme, helping to prevent pollution by collecting waste from marine vehicles. Alongside its waste collection activities, Arkas TURMEPA II also carried out awareness initiatives aimed at raising environmental consciousness among sailors and vacationers.
Working for the Future of the Seas
Launched in 2004 to protect the seas, the Arkas TURMEPA II project has served thousands of boats along the coasts of Izmir and Cesme to date. Each season, the vessel organizes activities to promote environmental awareness and conducts informational initiatives in marinas and bays to strengthen sailors’ understanding of waste management. In this way, the project has evolved into not only an environmental initiative but also a social movement dedicated to protecting the marine ecosystem.
