As part of the “Journey to Art” project launched in collaboration with Konak Municipality, Arkas Art is bringing children aged 7–14 together with art. The children have the opportunity to visit Arkas Art Bornova, the Arkas Maritime History Center, and the Arkas Art Center, where they can explore exhibitions and take part in workshops. This collaboration helps children develop cultural and artistic awareness at an early age.
With the collaboration of Konak Municipality and Arkas Art, the “Journey to Art” project started its first phase in Gultepe. Over the course of the day, children visited Arkas Art centers, participated in exhibitions, and engaged in workshops designed to foster creativity. In the coming days, the program will continue with the involvement of children from other neighborhoods as well.
Arkas Art’s Commitment to Education
Since its foundation, Arkas Art has made it a priority to share art with all segments of society. Workshops prepared especially for children run parallel to the content of exhibitions, offering younger generations the opportunity to experience art and try different techniques.

Art for All
Emerging from Lucien Arkas’ personal collection, the Arkas Collection includes paintings, sculptures, carpets, glassworks, maritime items, and books. Arkas Art Centers present this diverse selection to the public at large, while the partnership with Konak Municipality enables children to engage more directly with art.
Collaboration that Inspires the Future
This program, jointly organized by Arkas Art and Konak Municipality, offers children a day immersed in art. The project aims to inspire the creative generations of the future.
