Arkas Arcademia continues to engage its Izmir-based audience through workshops and events spanning different disciplines. In this context, the “Underglaze Painting Technique Lampshade Workshop,” organized on Saturday, January 17, provided participants with the chance to experience a traditional art technique and produce their own designs.
At a time when everyday life is speeding up and technology is increasingly influential; the workshop centered on manual skills allowed participants to learn the underglaze painting technique and design their lampshades using their own color and pattern choices. During the hands-on process, participants not only engaged in a production-focused experience but also interacted with one another in a collaborative and open atmosphere.
The designs created at the end of the workshop were transformed into distinctive objects that showcased the participants’ individual creativity. The event concluded with participants taking home lampshades they could use themselves or present as gifts.
