Arkas Aktif Promotes Social Awareness Through Workshops

In collaboration with Pour La Bonte, Arkas Aktif continues to raise public awareness through workshops supporting the participation of individuals with autism in both productive activities and workforce, along with activities that promote recycling.

Arkas Aktif stands out through Arkas Holding’s initiatives that support employee well-being and motivation, as well as through its support for projects focused on societal benefit.

Valuing the equal participation of individuals with autism in social life and productive activities, and supporting all initiatives working toward an inclusive society, Arkas Aktif organized workshops in Istanbul and Izmir, in collaboration with the social enterprise Pour La Bonte, to support individuals with autism in taking part in production and employment.

The event was not solely about making bracelets; it also built awareness, improved individuals’ social skills, and provided tangible support for their participation in employment.

Arkas Aktif received the social impact assessment report on the workshops held in Istanbul and Izmir. The report shows that the project delivered valuable outcomes at both individual and societal levels.

Productive Hands, Empowered Lives

The bracelets made by individuals with autism at Pour La Bonte Atelier help develop fine motor and communication skills, with the aim of integrating participants into employment through their active involvement in production.

Through these initiatives carried out with the support of Arkas Aktif:
● 4.5% of the funding needed for one of the 20 autism-focused workshops planned nationwide was raised.
● Financial support was provided for the salaries of 43 individuals with autism working at Pour La Bonte Atelier.
● A total of 1,412 people were reached directly and indirectly through the workshops, marking a significant step toward raising awareness of autism.

Recycling and Participation: Activities in Harmony with Nature

Arkas Aktif continues to create value not only through employment-focused projects but also with various activities that promote environmental and social awareness. At the workshops held at the Tekfen and Orhanli locations, plastic bottles were turned into flowerpots, painted according to employees’ unique designs, and planted with flowers. The participation of children in the event, which took place on the day marking the end of the school year, strengthened the project’s intergenerational awareness-raising aspect.

With new workshops planned for August in Izmir, this inclusive approach is set to continue.
