Arkas Line is increasing its capacity in temperature-controlled container transportation with an investment of 500 new reefer containers. Planned to be integrated into the fleet as of June, the new units will serve across Arkas Line’s extensive service network, supporting its operational strength, market reach, and environmentally focused equipment investments.
Offering regular services across various regions, including the Mediterranean, Black Sea, West and North Africa, the East Coast of the America, and India, Arkas Line is further enhancing its service capacity in temperature-controlled cargo transportation through this reefer container investment. The new containers, which will be deployed across the entire service network without being limited to a specific trade lane, will contribute to the safe transportation of temperature-sensitive cargo such as food, agricultural products, and sensitive medical goods. The brand-new reefer containers, manufactured at CIMC’s Qingdao facility in China, are expected to be delivered to the Arkas Line fleet in June.
Next-Generation Reefer Technology
The new containers joining Arkas Line’s fleet are equipped with Daikin Zestia refrigeration units. Standing out with high cooling performance, precise temperature control, and energy efficiency, these systems will support the preservation of product quality throughout the supply chain. The new equipment is also compatible with the next-generation, lower environmental impact refrigerant gas R1234yf, reinforcing Arkas Line’s sustainability-focused operational approach.
Enhanced Operational Strength and Market Reach
This investment is a key part of Arkas Line’s objective to offer more flexible and environmentally responsible solutions to its customers. Given the sensitive nature of temperature-controlled transportation, the increase in reefer equipment capacity holds strategic importance in terms of cargo safety, operational efficiency, and access to diverse markets.
With this addition to its equipment fleet, Arkas Line not only strengthens its operational capabilities and market reach, but also continues its transformation focused on energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The new reefer containers are expected to further enhance the reliability required by customers in their international supply chains.
