Marport Strengthens Its Position in the Global Logistics Network with CMA CGM

Located at the strategic crossroads of the Asian, European, and Middle Eastern trade corridors, Marport, one of Türkiye’s largest container terminals, has entered a new phase in its partnership with CMA CGM, a global leader in shipping, air freight, inland transportation and logistics solutions. The first regular call under the FEMEX service, one of the key services connecting North Europe and Türkiye, was marked by the arrival of the CMA CGM MARLIN at Marport.

The CMA CGM MARLIN’s first regular call at Marport on July 3, 2026, marked the beginning of a new era, further strengthening Marport’s strategic position in international maritime trade. With its high operational capacity, strong infrastructure, and efficient operations, the terminal continues to create added value for Türkiye’s foreign trade.

The FEMEX service, which plays a key role in trade flows between North Europe and Türkiye, stands out by directly connecting four major ports in the Marmara and İzmir regions with North Europe’s main ports. Through competitive transit times, broad regional access via the Malta and Algeciras transshipment hubs, a direct call at Piraeus, and Felixstowe-linked intermodal solutions, the service offers customers fast, reliable, and integrated logistics services.

In his remarks, Alp Çapa, Vice President of Arkas Holding Port and Terminal Services Group, said: “As Marport, we are proud to serve as the strategic port of choice for the world’s leading container shipping lines. Our growing partnership with CMA CGM expands the service network we offer our customers and further improves our operational efficiency. The FEMEX service’s regular calls at Marport are a clear reflection of our terminal’s strategic position within the international transportation network. We believe this partnership will create added value not only for Marport but also for Türkiye’s competitiveness in global logistics and its foreign trade.”
