Sailing, mini yacht, swimming, and canoeing training sessions at Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club are set to commence in June. Training sessions at the club, which nurtures national athletes to represent Türkiye in European and world championships, will take place in Cesme and Izmir Marina. The training sessions will be available on both half-day and full-day options throughout the summer season.
Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club, dedicated to raising professional athletes for the sailing sports in Türkiye, will commence its summer season training on June 17th. The classes, running until the first week of September, will cover the branches of sailing, swimming, canoeing, and mini yachting in Cesme, renowned for its world-class sailing courses, as well as sailing in Izmir Marina. The training sessions, for which applications have commenced, aim to breathe new life into sailing.
Professional Staff Offering Professional Training
Athletes from the Arkas M.A.T. Sailing Team and Arkas Sailing Team, champions of the “Rolex Giraglia 205 IRC3,” one of the most prestigious yacht races globally, will also participate in the sailing training. Children aged 7 to 16 will have the opportunity to learn sailing through full-day or half-day summer camps. The courses, offering the opportunity for one-on-one instruction at sea, will be held every weekday from 10:00 to 17:00. The training sessions will be ongoing throughout the season, organized in 3-week programs. Swimming lessons at Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club will be available three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, catering to ages 4-15. Classes will be held for one hour each day, with designated time slots.
Canoe lessons at Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club will be scheduled based on demand. Wayfarer and J70 mini yacht training sessions will also be organized in Cesme.
Training at Izmir Marina will also start on June 17 in the sailing branch. Children aged 7-16 can participate in the sailing courses every weekday between 10:00 and 17:00, with options for full-day and half-day sessions.
