Arkas M.A.T Sailing Team Claims Victory at Cesme Winter Trophy

The 2024 Cesme Winter Trophy hosted by Cesme Marina has concluded. In the six-leg, months-long trophy series, the Arkas M.A.T Sailing Team took first place in the ARC A1 class.

The 2024 Cesme Winter Trophy, which commenced its first leg races in January, concluded with the sixth leg races. The five-month winter trophy was organized in collaboration with the Aegean Open Sea Yacht Club (EAYK) and Cesme Marina. In the sixth and final leg of the competition, the buoy race began in Ilica. Unal Baylan, Director General of Maritime Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and Ozlem Akdurak, President of the Turkish Sailing Federation, jointly signaled the start of the race. With their boat Arkas Blue Moon 1, Arkas M.A.T Sailing Team topped the IRC A1 category in the competition consisting of various stages. The winners were Socar Joy Lemon in IRC A2, Zamazingo in IRC A3, Nemo Bal Spor in IRC B1, Yanki 2 in IRC B2 and Chess Chelsea in Support.

Arkas M.A.T Sailing Team claimed victory in its class by becoming first in all six legs of the competition, securing their status as the overall winners in their category.
