Arkas Line Transports the First Special Project Cargo of the Year to Algeria and Tunisia

Arkas Line carried out its first project cargo transport of the year to North Africa. Since the olive oil tank and olive oil machine could not be carried in standard containers due to their dimensions, they were delivered to the consignee by sea using Flat Rack containers for the loading operation.

With over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry, Arkas Line not only provides container shipping services but also offers high-quality, fast, and safe services for project cargo transportation, developing alternative solutions for its customers. The company, which also carries project cargo to Algerian and Tunisian ports, has recently completed one of the largest project shipments of recent years. The olive oil tank and machine, with their pre-carriage handled by Arkas Logistics, were brought to Izmir Alsancak Port in two truckloads over the course of two days and loaded onto vessels.

The project cargo was transported to the designated ports by sea. For this shipment, 7×40 Flat Rack containers were used, and project components were loaded onto the vessels operated by Arkas Line, Lucien GA and Timucin A, to be delivered to the requesting factory. The project cargo was successfully transported from Izmir Alsancak Port to the consignee in the relevant countries within 12 days.

As a pioneering company in maritime transportation in Türkiye, Arkas Line continues to contribute to Turkish foreign trade, ranking 32nd on the Alphaliner List.
