Arkas Line hosted the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company’s annual freight negotiation meeting, which took place in Izmir on September 11-12 this year.
The annual Freight Negotiation Conference of the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), which is held every year in a different port city around the world and shapes the global cocoa market, was held in Izmir, Türkiye this year. Hosted by Arkas Line, the conference was held at Izmir Swissotel on 11-12 September 2024 with the participation of over 50 international guests including representatives of shipowner companies. At the conference, attended by Burak Kaya, CCO of Arkas Line, Ebru Atamtürk, Managing Director of Arkas Line Northern Europe Regional Office, Querida Read, Managing Director of Arkas Ghana and Samuel Ocran, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager of Arkas Ghana, CMC executives and representatives of Ghana Shippers’ Authority came together with the representatives of the world’s most important shipping companies and made predictions about the market conditions for the next year and determined the strategy and freight rates for the new period.
After the conference, the participants ended their busy program with pleasant conversations (or discussions) at the gala dinner held with also the participation of Arkas Holding Bernard Arkas, Vice Chairman of the Board and CCO of Arkas Line, Ece Çokdeğer at Arkas Arcademia.
