Izmir’s first Digital Experience Center has opened under the IZQ brand, offering virtual and augmented reality experiences that introduce children to the worlds of science and innovation. The IZQ Digital Experience Center, which is part of the IZQ Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, was established through the collaboration of various business organizations in Izmir, with Arkas among the sponsors.
The center, designed to immerse visitors—especially primary and middle school students—in the realms of science and innovation through cutting-edge virtual and augmented reality technologies, officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event was attended by Zekeriya Costu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology; Ömer Yahsi, Director of Izmir Provincial Directorate of National Education; Yucel Yavuz, Acting Director of Izmir Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology; Mahmut Ozgener, Chairman of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce; along with other prominent figures from the business world.
The experience center features interactive sections on innovation, urban life, nature, science, and commerce. Here, children and young visitors have the chance to explore Arkas’s interactive games, such as “Container Loading” and “Innovation on Ships.” These games introduce key topics like sustainability, artificial intelligence, clean energy, trade, and container shipping, allowing kids to learn while having fun.
The IZQ Digital Experience Center aims to provide a unique learning experience for children aged 7-14, in line with the national curriculum. The center is designed to appeal to families, disadvantaged groups, and both local and international tourists, with the goal of engaging visitors of all ages. The hope is that the center will capture the attention of young audiences, offering them both educational and entertaining experiences.
