In December 2023, the Arkas Maritime Group Sustainability Directorate and sustainability consultant team conducted a workshop with the participation of Arkas Maritime Group Board members, Arkas CHRO, and Arkas Corporate Communications departments.
The objective of the workshop was to define the group’s sustainability priorities and complete the initial Materiality Analysis for 2024. The survey, which was sent to all Arkas Maritime Group employees, major customers, suppliers, and service providers, served as the basis for this study. Based on the survey results, the Arkas Maritime Group has identified the following key areas of focus for its sustainability efforts
- Reducing GHG Emissions
- Sustainable Supply Chain Management
- Marine Conservation and Protecting Marine Bio-diversity
- Employee Health & Safety and Empowerment
