Arkas Maritime Group, following the sustainability priorities defined, will be working on supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through an exciting opportunity conducted by UN Global Compact; SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals.
Supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is critical for companies as it helps contribute to a better future for all. The SDGs provide a powerful aspiration for improving our world, laying out where we collectively need to go and how to get there. By supporting the SDGs, companies can help end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet.
The program empowers young talents within participating companies to collaborate and drive business innovation that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and it has been supported by industry professionals within UN Global Compact, aims to empower future leaders to rethink traditional business models and address sustainability challenges innovatively.
Arkas Maritime Group announced the program in mid of December 2023, to collect applications for the initial selection process. The selection will be completed by January 15th and Arkas Line Team of Young Innovators will be announced who will embark on a nine month accelerated sustainability program starting from February 2024.
