One of Türkiye’s most internationally active sailing teams, Arkas Sailing Team, kicked off the 2025 season with a victory in Italy and is now competing in the prestigious Tre Golfi Sailing Week, one of the Mediterranean’s top sailing events. The team, racing with their high-performance TP52 class boat, Blue Moon, is drawing attention as they compete in this intense and highly competitive event.
Now in its 70th year, the Tre Golfi Sailing Week is taking place from May 10th to 18th in the Gulf of Naples. The event brings together some of the world’s leading teams in IRC, ORC, and Maxi classes, while also hosting important stages such as the ORC Mediterranean Championship and Regata dei Tre Golfi.
International Success
In the coastal leg of the Campionato Nazionale Medio e Basso Tirreno ORC, consisting of five races, Arkas Sailing Team secured sixth place overall out of 30 boats. This achievement in a fleet filled with strong competitors from around the world reflects the team’s disciplined preparation and sailing experience.

Towards the Final…
The race is currently ongoing. The team is in fourth place out of 21 boats and is preparing for the championship finale with the 150 nautical mile offshore leg, Regata dei Tre Golfi, which will start from Naples on May 16th.
