Arkas Sailing Team, a leading name in Turkish sailing, is set to represent Türkiye at Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2025, one of the Mediterranean’s most prestigious races. The team is gearing up to assert its claim in one of the season’s biggest competitions with its expertise and discipline.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, one of the most prestigious sailing festivals in the Mediterranean, will take place from September 27 to October 5, 2025. In this nine-day event, around 240 boats – from classics to ultra-modern yachts – and experienced teams from all over the world will compete. Around 70 yachts over 20 meters in length to attend the races are considered among the stars of the festival.
Arkas Sailing Team will represent Türkiye in this prestigious event. In previous years, Arkas M.A.T. Sailing Team competed in the IRC C class with its boat “Blue Moon,” as well as finishing 9th among 24 boats in 2023.
Team captain Serhat Altay commented on the race: “Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is not just a competition; it is a festival that celebrates the culture and passion of sailing at the highest level. To be here, to promote Turkish sailing to the world, and to take part in top-level competition is a source of pride for us.”
Throughout the event, the team will compete for six days in in-shore races. The program includes the arrival of boats and registration on September 27, followed by intense competition in all categories and the Rolex Trophy races from September 29 through October 4. On October 1, Maxi yachts will take a break, while October 2 will feature special events such as Challenge Day and the Club 55 Cup. Races will continue on October 3-4, accompanied by social activities and award nights. The festival will conclude on October 5 with the awards ceremony.
Since its establishment, the Arkas Sailing Team has aimed not only for sporting success—through achievements in national and international races, the experience of its athletes, the professionalism of its technical team, and Arkas’ investment in the sport—but also to help promote Türkiye’s sailing culture on a global stage. In Saint-Tropez, the team is focused on maintaining top-level technical readiness and physical condition, proudly representing Turkish sailing.
