The president and senior executives of Evergreen Marine Corporation, one of the world’s leading container shipping companies based in Taiwan, visited Arkas Holding’s headquarters in Izmir as part of their growth plans for the Mediterranean and the Black Sea region, including Türkiye.
During the visit to Arkas, with whom Evergreen Marine Corporation has maintained a 25-year partnership in maritime transport, the two companies discussed potential collaboration opportunities, once again emphasizing Türkiye’s strategic importance in regional shipping.
Evergreen Delegation Includes Top Executives
The visit hosted by Lucien Arkas, Chairman of Arkas Holding, and attended by Bernard Arkas, Vice President of Arkas Holding, was led by K. H. Wu, President of Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan). Accompanying Wu, who oversees the company’s global operations as President of Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan), were Tom Lin, Managing Director of Italia Marittima responsible for European and Mediterranean operations; Eric T.C. Wu, Vice President of the Project Department of Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan); and Jerry Chien, General Manager of Evergreen Turkey.
Based in Taiwan, Evergreen operates in more than 100 countries across five continents and ranks 7th on Alphaliner’s list of global ship-owning container operators. For years, Evergreen has been shipping cargo from the Far East to Türkiye. For its Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean connections, the company benefits from the extensive network of Emes Feedering, Arkas’ feedering division.
