The players of Arkas Spor, who participate in the AXA Insurance Efeler League, paid a visit to the Guzelbahce and Karsiyaka campuses of the Orion Education Foundation Private Piri Reis Schools, where they met students.
As part of the program, Arkas Spor’s Head Coach Glenn Hoag, Women’s Teams and Sports Schools Responsible Onur Isikci, along with players Caner Dengin, Mustafa Cengiz, Enes Atli, Oguzhan Tarakci, Ahmet Karatas, Daniel Mcdonnald, and team trainer Nurcan Celep, attended the Karsiyaka campus. At the Guzelbahce campus, Assistant Coach Joao Paulo Bravo, along with players Nicholas Hoag, Mirza Lagumdzija, Angel Suerez Perez, Gokcen Yuksel, Erhan Hamarat, and Enis Ali Ay, met with the students. The athletes had a great event where they met with the volleyball players of the future and answered various interesting questions in an enjoyable gathering.
During the event, Arkas Spor’s Head Coach Glenn Hoag shared insight about volleyball with the students. When asked about what it takes to be a successful athlete, he emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, determination, and dedication. Hoag also provided information about nutrition, sleep patterns, and training programs. He expressed his love for volleyball both as an athlete and a coach, emphasizing his passion for his job. Each athlete took turns introducing themselves in the meeting, which came to an end when all the students’ questions were answered.
