Arkas Sailing Team, which stands out with its international successes, achieved another important success in Loro Piana Giraglia 2025, one of the most prestigious sailing organizations in the Mediterranean. The team competed fiercely in the races and came 3rd in the overall classification.
After successfully representing the Turkish flag on the international sailing scene, Arkas Sailing Team achieved another remarkable success by coming third in the overall classification in Loro Piana Giraglia 2025, one of the most prestigious races of the season.
Two Stages, One Goal: Disciplined Struggle
The event, which took place between June 6-14, was organized in cooperation with Yacht Club Italiano and Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. In the first leg of the race, inshore races were held off the coast of Saint-Tropez for 4 days. In the second stage, the teams participated in an offshore race on a challenging 241 nautical mile route from Saint-Tropez to Genoa via Giraglia.
Flawless Pace in Coastal Races
With 139 boats competing in the coastal races, Arkas Sailing Team’s Blue Moon in the TP52 class finished this stage in 2nd place after 4 courses thanks to the team’s flawless maneuvers and high pace in a category with 25 strong competitors.
Tactical Calm in the Offshore Phase
Starting on June 11, the offshore race saw the team sailing strategically in light and variable wind conditions. At 09:14 on the morning of June 12, Arkas Sailing Team was one of the few boats to pass the Giraglia Rock and finished in 6th place. Despite the meteorological challenges throughout the race, the team’s discipline, course management and decision-making skills stood out.
Strong Result in “Overall”
As a result of the rating calculations based on the scores of the inshore and offshore stages, Arkas Sailing Team ranked 3rd in the overall classification. This rating is an important indicator of the technical capacity and collective performance shown throughout the season.

One of the three most prestigious races of the season, along with the Rolex Middle Sea Race and Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the Loro Piana Giraglia is not just a race for rankings but a test of strategy, professionalism, and endurance.
