In response to the earthquake disaster on February 6, Arkas took immediate action to provide relief to the affected people and swiftly deliver aid to those in need. Arkas is currently working on developing sustainable solutions for the medium-term support of the earthquake victims. The construction of the Arkas Life Center, comprising 260 containers, in the Iskenderun district of Hatay, was successfully completed under the coordination of AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority).
Arkas Life Center in Iskenderun provides temporary housing for earthquake victims, accommodating up to 1000 people. The center offers various facilities such as a playground, library, health center, common kitchen, and laundry. The interior of the containers was prepared in four-bed containers with television, refrigerator, air conditioning, dining table, sofa and kitchen and bathroom amenities. The Monreve library, established with book donations from Arkas Sports fans, will support the educational and learning needs of children.
