A regular line shipping company, Arkas Line appointed three new agents in West Africa. Diamond Shipping Services started to serve in Senegal, while PIL Benin SA started to provide services in Benin. As of May, Sogena will offer services as Arkas Line’s new agency in Côte D’ivoire and Ivory Coast.
Arkas Line first announced the appointment of Diamond Shipping Services as its new agent in Senegal. Launched on April 1, the new agency operates under Sharaf Group, which carries out operations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Diamond Shipping Services, which has agents in the UK, Europe, USA and Asia, offers freight transportation services in Senegal. The company has also been an actor in the same market as a shipping agent serving global shipping companies since 2010.
PIL Benin SA was appointed as Arkas Line’s new agency in Benin. Launched on April 15, PIL Benin SA is known as a partner of Pacific International Lines (PIL). Initially operating just two ships, PIL is today ranked 12th among the top container shipping lines.
Arkas Line has appointed Sogena Côte D’ivoire as its agent in Ivory Coast. The new agency Sogena will start its services as of May 1st. Sogena is a family group founded during the maritime transportation activities of Societe Navale Caennaise, whose roots date back to 1828. Sogena has been present in Abidjan since 2017 under the legal entity Sogena Côte D’ivoire. Sogena Cote d’Ivoire offers ship agency services, transit and customs clearance at ports and borders, de-grouping, ship assistance in port, loading and unloading and extra port handling services. The company also provides solid and traditional bulk commodity handling (cocoa, coffee, rice, wheat, cake, fertilizer, rubber), warehousing and delivery hub support in the hinterland (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger).
In its announcement, Arkas Line emphasized that it is committed to maintain offering high quality services to its customers.
