The races were the stage of a great challenge, as they gathered sailing fans from Ankara, Istanbul, Marmaris, Bodrum and many regions of Türkiye in Cesme. Arkas M.A.T. Following the EAYK-CESME Marina Winter Trophy, Tolga Yagli, President of Arkas Cesme Yelken Sports Club, said the races were a great excitement. Yagli highlighted the higher adrenaline in this year’s EAYK-Winter Trophy, continuing “Because in IRC 0 and Overall, our competitors were stronger than in previous years. Goztepe brought excitement to the IRC 0 and Overall categories, competing against Boreas Farr 40 and Mat 1180, elevating the overall level of competition and creating a vibrant event. We are happy to have the Overall trophy in our hands at the end of 6 legs”.
Yagli also explained his thoughts on the next season, saying, “A tough season awaits us. We have completed our first competitions and following that, the 1st leg of the Turkish League competitions will begin. Then we will take place the Navy Cup and the Turkish Championship. In addition, we will participate in the International France Les Voiles Saint Tropez race and Malta Middle Sea Race Rolex Cup. We hope to become successful results in all of them and we will win trophies to our club”.
