The second leg races were concluded in Mugla’s Marmaris district, and the athletes who ranked in the Turkish Sailing Federation Sailing League ILCA races were awarded their medals with a ceremony. Our athlete Efe Erbak, representing Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club, secured second place in the ILCA 6 Junior category, earning the silver medal.
Organized in Mugla’s Marmaris district, the Turkish Sailing Federation (TYF) Sailing League 2nd Leg ILCA races (Turkish Championship) concluded. The races, which took place in Marmaris between January 29th and February 3rd, were held in ILCA 4, ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 classes. In the races hosted by Grand Yazıcı Turban Thermal Hotel, 158 athletes from different provinces of Türkiye competed in 9 categories in total. 54 athletes competed in ILCA 4 in Gold, 53 in Silver groups, 43 in ILCA 6 and 8 in ILCA 7. Competing in the ILCA 6 class, Arkas Cesme Sailing Sports Club athlete Efe Erbak won a silver medal in the championship. 43 athletes participated in the race, with Kutsal Gunes Kurnaz from Tekirdag Sailing Sports Club winning the gold medal and Bartu Altintas from Galatasaray Sports Club Sailing Branch securing the bronze medal.
The winners of the races were awarded their medals with a ceremony. The award ceremony was attended by Deputy Mayor of Marmaris Ummuhan Kabacam, Deputy Mayor of Marmaris Suzan Zift, Central Referee Board President Hakan Kutuk, District Director of Youth and Sports Cem Tuncel, Operations Manager of Grand Yazıcı Turban Thermal Hotel Hamdi Kizilkaya, TYF referees, coaches and athletes’ families.
