Officials from Arkas Merchant Fleet participated in career days organized by maritime and related faculties of universities, sharing information with students about Arkas’ policies regarding internship processes and recruitment. Personnel Manager Ferit Gökdeniz and Deputy Personnel Manager Mehmet Adsan from Arkas Maritime Fleet participated in the events, which covered a total of 10 universities and were completed in December.
Career days for maritime faculties for the winter of 2023 have come to an end. The first of the Winter Career Days started with the 27th Traditional Career Days of Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty this year. Personnel Manager Ferit Gökdeniz from Arkas Maritime Fleet met with students at the event. After providing information about Arkas, critical points in the crew selection on vessels were discussed and students’ questions about the recruitment and departure processes of interns were answered.
Arkas Maritime Fleet personnel managers also participated in career days at 9 more universities in November and December. Within this framework, meetings were held with students from universities such as İskenderun Technical University Barbaros Hayrettin Shipbuilding and Maritime Faculty, Yıldız Technical University Maritime Faculty, Dokuz Eylül University Shipbuilding and Maritime Faculty, Piri Reis University Maritime Faculty, Karadeniz Technical University Sürmene Marine Sciences Faculty, Ordu University Fatsa Marine Sciences Faculty, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Turgut Kıran Maritime Faculty, Istanbul University Engineering Faculty, and Near East University Maritime Faculty. Information was provided about the recruitment processes at Arkas, details about the ships were delivered and questions about internship-related matters were answered.
Arkas Maritime Fleet will continue to meet with students at career days in 2024.
