The pandemic and subsequent economic shifts, inflation’s impact on the global economy, and geopolitical tensions closely affect the logistics sector. As an industry, we must remain dynamic to swiftly adapt to evolving needs. Arkas Logistics Group responds to these changes and demands through newly established companies and strategic acquisitions.”

“Türkiye for logistics, logistics for Türkiye”

Underlining Türkiye’s pivotal role as a major logistics hub connecting Asia to Europe and the USA through investments in ports, railways, roads, and airways, Diane Arcas Gocmez emphasized, “Türkiye stands as an indispensable country in the global supply chain. For a growing economy like ours that aims to expand its share in global trade, the logistics sector holds paramount importance. The globally expanding Arkas Logistics Group invests in end-to-end logistics services, digitalization, and sustainability.”

“2023: A Year of Global Market Growth”

Onur Gocmez, Arkas Holding Logistics Group President, stated, “Turkey serves as a crucial link in the global supply chain. The world recognizes Türkiye’s strategic position and robust logistics capabilities. At Arkas Logistics, we are fully cognizant of our advantages and are taking significant steps not just for our company but also to bolster our country’s logistics prowess.”

Onur Gocmez outlined their 2023 initiatives: “Arkas Logistics USA in New Jersey has commenced offering 3,000 square meters of indoor storage services. This allows us to provide door-to-door transportation, storage, and customs services in our key export market, the USA. We’ve expanded further in Europe with the launch of our Romania office. Moreover, our acquisition of Fretlog, a logistics company in India, towards the end of the year, signifies a significant move in our global market expansion strategy. We’ve signed service agreements with duisport and Hupac for intermodal transportation. The reciprocal train services between the Halkali-Duisburg terminals have significantly eased freight transportation not only to Germany but also to various countries in Europe such as Belgium, the Netherlands, and Austria. Arkas Rail, set to receive five eco-friendly locomotives in 2025, has recently obtained the “Freight Train Operator License.” We regularly update our truck fleet, enhance our warehouses, and are constructing a warehouse at our Yenice terminal. Digitalization is of immense importance to us; we’re continuously enhancing our systems to enable our customers to easily obtain quotes and track their shipments. We’ve updated the websites of both Arkas Logistics and Shipeedy, which conducts seaway LCL transportation. Customers can now conveniently obtain online quotes and track their shipments.”
