“L’Air de Paris” exhibition continues to attract interest in Izmir

The exhibition “L’Air de Paris “, hosted at Arkas Art Center, is extended until February 26, 2023 due to the great interest. Touted among the best exhibitions of 2022, the exhibition has welcomed art lovers since September 28, and will continue in the new year.

The Parisian air in Arkas Art Center is blowing into the new season. “L’Air de Paris“, which has attracted great interest from art lovers of all age groups and especially from young people, is the most comprehensive exhibition to date on Turkish artists who traveled from Türkiye to Paris, the capital of art, between 1945 and 1968. The exhibition, which deals with the liberating dynamics experienced by artists, has been prepared with a holistic approach supported by archival documents, letters, photographs, artist books, sketchbooks and exhibition posters as well as works. The exhibition sheds light on the Paris experience of Turkish artists who went to Paris after the Second World War, which was a turning point in their lives, and their journey to find themselves.

Simultaneously with the exhibition, which will be on view until the end of February, workshop programs for different age groups will introduce children to the artists and different art movements through the works in the exhibition, allowing them to enjoy producing freely and discovering their talents and creativity. To participate in the free and quota-limited events you can make a reservation by sending an e-mail to etkinlik@arkassanatmerkezi.com.
