Arkas Art Center, with programs prepared in parallel with the exhibition “Nejad Devrim & Mübin Orhon: Deux voyageurs d’images,” allows children to discover how special their talents, styles, and dreams are.
The exhibition “Nejad Devrim & Mübin Orhon: Deux voyageurs d’images“ is open for visitors from September 22, 2023, to February 18, 2024. It brings together two prominent Turkish painters on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Nejad Devrim and Mübin Orhon, internationally recognized for their unique styles through exhibitions held in various parts of the world, showcase their works with distinctive styles at Arkas Art Center. The exhibition will feature works from different periods of these two artists, highlighting significant milestones in their artistic careers.
Arkas Art Center, which has emphasized the importance of children expressing themselves through art and discovering innovations that will broaden their horizons since its opening, provides children with the opportunity to explore the liberating aspect of art with specially prepared “Saturday Workshops for Children” for different age groups every Saturday. After a half-hour tour of the exhibition, children are encouraged to create their own works inspired by the pieces they have seen during the workshop activities. Following their interactive exploration of the “Nejad Devrim & Mübin Orhon: Deux voyageurs d’images” exhibition, children complete their visits with a one-hour workshop activity that covers topics related to the exhibition.
Arkas Art Center places great importance on education and, during weekdays, offers guided exhibition tours for school groups with teacher accompaniment, including preschool, primary school, and high school groups. This arrangement is not limited to Arkas Art Center alone and is also extended to Arkas Maritime History Center, Arkas Art Urla, and Arkas Art Bornova Mattheys Mansion.
