As part of the September event of the “My Future, Arkas” program organized by Arkas Academy and the System Development team, students from Arkas Narlidere Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School were introduced to the “My Future, Arkas Internship Program,” shedding light on job opportunities within Arkas. Following the introduction, a vocational seminar was conducted.
The September phase of the “My Future, Arkas” program has been successfully completed. The program aimed to convey the corporate culture and opportunities of Arkas to Narlidere Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students, raise their awareness about their future, prepare them for internships and job opportunities at Arkas, and support their professional development. During the “My Future, Arkas Day – September” event, students were provided with detailed information about the internship program. Subsequently, a Container Planning and Control seminar was organized to support the students’ vocational training, taking into account the survey conducted during the June event. Operations and Customs Services seminars have also been included in the calendar for the 2023-2024 academic year.
The “My Future, Arkas” Project consists of a series of internship and job programs in collaboration with Arkas Academy and Arkas Human Resources, designed to support Narlidere Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students in their education and internship fields, as well as to prepare them for working conditions and offer job opportunities. Each year, the top 10 students from Narlidere Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School are selected to participate in the “My Future, Arkas Internship Program.” During the internship period, with the support of our Academy team and seven mentors, the students complete their internships in seven different departments at Arkas.
Within the scope of the “My Future, Arkas Job Program,” students who successfully complete the internship program with the support of our System Development team are subjected to an examination. Upon passing, they join Arkas for a fixed one-year period within the allocated quota. Those who continue to meet specific criteria are able to continue their careers at Arkas. For instance, three graduates who successfully completed the 2022-2023 “My Future, Arkas Internship Program” began a one-year contract with Arkas after interviews, and the process is ongoing.
Within the “My Future, Arkas” Project, “My Future, Arkas Day” is organized twice a year, in September and June. Professional seminars on three topics are conducted annually.
