Arkas Aegean Link Regatta, an event sailing enthusiasts look forward to every year, begins on September 11. Organised since 2017, the sails will be dancing with the wind for the fourth time this year.
Jointly organised by EAYK (Aegean Open Sea Yacht Club), Cesme Marina and Arkas and sponsored by Turkey Sailing Federation and the Municipality of Cesme, Arkas Aegean Link Regatta will take place for the fourth time from September 11 to 13. The four-day race will be garlanded by Cesme’s legendary wind, the friendly atmosphere of the race and the cool waters of the Aegean Sea. Race organisers have taken all precautions regarding distance and hygiene rules in line with the regulations of the sailing federation. The event is bound to be a feast for the eyes with all the sails dancing in the wind.
In the last three years, 152 boats and around 1400 sailors participated in the races in the IRC and Support categories. Sailors can still sign up for the 2020 race with more details available on the official website of Arkas Aegean Link Regatta.
