Arkas Line conducted its “Annual Evaluation and Strategy Meeting” in Izmir with country executives from 24 countries. Over the course of three days, the meetings not only assessed the performance of the year 2023 but also shared projections for the upcoming year.
Establishing its first office in Bulgaria in 1996, Arkas Line continues to meet the demands of its customers with personalized solutions through its 59 offices in 24 countries, ranging from Spain to Italy, Romania to Russia, Algeria to Ghana.
Ranked among the top 30 in the world by the prestigious maritime research firm Alphaliner in the “Container/Liner Operators” ranking, Arkas Line maintains its strong international position with 35 weekly services to 68 ports. During the meetings, Arkas Line has outlined its projections for 2024.
The overseas executives of Arkas Line gathered in Izmir for the “Annual Evaluation and Strategy Meeting.” The three-day meeting, attended by 64 executives from different countries, included general presentations on the evaluation of 2023 and plans for 2024, as well as discussions on commercial activities, improving sales and marketing activities, and sharing goals for new markets.
Following the meeting, Arkas Maritime Group CEO Cenk Değer provided a comprehensive overview, stating, “We conducted a general evaluation with our country managers. Considering all the countries where our offices are located, each has different economic and social balances. We plan our strategies according to these balances by listening to them. Meeting with our colleagues adds significant value both in terms of motivation and planning. This way, we are planning to enter 2024 with confidence.”
Arkas Line CEO Can Atalay added, “We are a great team, and being together face-to-face creates a unique synergy and motivation for our global perspective, collaborative work, and project creation. We had a very successful and good year. I thank my colleagues. We discussed our future plans together. As always, our goal is to grow our business, carry more cargo, and move forward. 2024 won’t be an easy year, but with our strong and experienced infrastructure, we will enter this challenging period with strength. We can overcome the challenges of the coming years only through good teamwork, and through our meetings, we saw that this energy exists throughout our entire team. We are entering 2024 with hope.”
During the meeting, members of the Arkas Maritime Group Executive Board, Cenk Değer, Can Atalay, Ece Çokdeğer, Burak Kaya, Günay Özgürel, and Ozan Taylan Uzel, met with country representatives and shared their 2024 common goals, as well as forecasts and objectives regarding local markets.
