Arkas Line Launches Direct Reefer Services From Samsun and Mersin to Novorossiysk

Arkas Line continues to support the fresh-product supply chain between Turkey and Russia with its reefer services operating from two different points, as the citrus season has kicked off in Turkey. Launched in the first week of November, REX (Reefer Express Service) has been added along with the direct SNS (Samsun Novorossiysk Shuttle) service that has started to operate from Samsun with VERA A as of the mid of October.

Both reefer services address all customers with perishable cargoes who want to benefit from reliable and fast transport solutions by sea. The REX service, which has started to operate weekly from Mersin International Port, provides services to the NUTEP terminal in Novorossiysk with a transit time of approximately 4 days. Dionyssis A, Mehmet Kahveci and Nele Maersk are the vessels to be deployed for the reefer service that has started with a total capacity of 600 plugs per week.

Having launched regular shuttle services between Samsun port and the NCSP terminal in Novorossiysk, Arkas Line keeps providing next-day deliveries with a transit time of 1 day. Having a total capacity of 250 plugs per voyage, this service will be another alternative for customers who want to consider a fast shipping option besides REX.
