Calling all Kids to Arkas Art Center!

With workshops and programs, which have been prepared based on the exhibition “Nature, Gardens, Fantasies” that is presented in the Arkas Collection, Arkas Art Center explains the relationship between nature, human and art to children, and continues to teach them with fun by introducing various concepts of art through different works.

Opened for visits in September and created from the works of the Arkas Collection, “Nature, Gardens, Fantasies” reflects the relationship between nature and human, while shedding light on different periods of art and production areas at the same time. The exhibition will be open until January 30, 2022. Arkas Art Center strives to introduce art to kids at a very young age and encourages them to have a strong connection with it, as well as to create, research and use their imagination while showing different branches of art and artists.

Saturday Workshops for Children

At “Saturday Workshops for Children” that are organized free of charge for different age groups on Saturdays, we explain children the role of nature in our lives, and how important it is to love and protect animals and nature through the works compiled in the exhibition. The aim of the workshops, held after a 30-minute exhibition tour, is that children can create their own artworks inspired by the works they see during the exhibition. After going on an interactive exploration of “Nature, Gardens, Fantasies”, children complete their 1-hour tour with the workshop activity that includes topics they have learned in the exhibition.

“Magic Forest and Fairies Workshop” for children aged 5-7 and “Fantastic Forest Protectors Workshop” for children aged 8-10 will be held on November 6-13 within the workshop programs. “Take a Closer Look to Nature! Little Detectives Workshop” for children aged 5-7 and “Nature’s Mystery: Golden Ratio Workshop” for children aged 8-10 will take place on November 20-27.

Not Able to Visit the Exhibition in Place? Here are Some Online Opportunities for School Groups

Offering various options such as face-to-face and online exhibition tours for school groups on weekdays, Arkas Art Center is preparing programs that are suitable for kindergarten, primary school, middle school and high school groups for the exhibition “Nature, Gardens, Fantasies”. Exhibition tours, accompanied by school counselors, are organized for school groups that want to visit the exhibition in place by following Covid-19 rules. On the other hand, school groups that want to join online exhibition tours, which are prepared for different age groups and last for almost 40 minutes, have the opportunity to visit the exhibition accompanied by a school counselor. Thanks to the “Teacher’s Guidebooks” prepared for school groups that cannot visit the exhibition in place or online, teachers can also show “Nature, Gardens, Fantasies” to their students whenever they want by using the virtual tour application found under the website www.arkassanatmerkezi.com. Containing different materials for students in kindergarten, elementary school, secondary school and high school, these guidebooks help teachers to easily explain the exhibition to their students.

We kindly request you to make a reservation by calling 0 232 464 6600 to join all programs that are organized free of charge. Furthermore, to participate in the workshop programs, held in compliance with Covid-19 rules, we would also request you to send an e-mail to etkinlik@arkassanatmerkezi.com that includes the name and date of the workshop and the age group.
