CEV Champions League will be Played in Tournament Format

This year, due to the novel coronavirus, some changes have been introduced to the most prestigious organization of club volleyball, the Champions League. European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has announced that the Championship’s format is changed from league to tournament. Arkas Spor will play the first leg matches on December 8-10 in France.

According to the statement made by CEV, this year, the group stage will be played according to the tournament format consisting of 2 legs instead of the league style format consisting of 6 legs. Following a video conference held with the participation of club and national federation representatives, the teams that will host the group stages in the Champions League have been announced. Representing our country in the men’s category in Group B, Arkas Spor will compete with the first leg matches of the tournament on December 8-10, 2020 in France. As for the second leg, the team will compete with the matches in Italy on February 9-11, 2021.
