The winners of the 5th “Logistics Achievement Awards of the Year” have been announced at the Economics and Logistics Summit organized by UTA Logistics Magazine. Lucien Arkas, Chairman of Arkas Holding, has been awarded the “Logistics Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Onur Gocmez, Chief Executive Officer of Arkas Logistics, attended the award ceremony on behalf of Lucien Arkas. The award was presented to Gocmez by Murat Bastor, General Manager of Transport Services Regulation at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The Economics and Logistics Summit keeps bringing the economists, the representatives of the public sector and the logistics industry, as well as the movers and shakers of the real sector and logistics together. At the 5th summit, the future perspectives of economy and the changes in the logistics sector were discussed with regard to the developments in the world. The winners of the “5th Logistics Achievement Award of the Year”, given within the scope of the event, have been announced. Contributions made to the development of the logistics sector were considered as evaluation criteria for the awards that have been granted in 16 categories such as the Lifetime Logistics Award, Logistics Entrepreneur of the Year, Bureaucrat of the Year, Logistics Professional of the Year, Forwarder Company of the Year, Logistics Solutions Company of the Year and Logistics Beyond Borders Award. Due to his pioneering national and international investments in the fields of logistics and transportation, as well as his contributions to the development of the logistics sector and its introduction to the international arena, Lucien Arkas, Chairman of Arkas Holding, has received the “Logistics Entrepreneur of the Year Award”.
